Why this site exists
Yoga Hubs is a small, independent magazine about yoga, movement, apparel, mindfulness and the broader wellness lifestyle. We write for adults who don’t need another guru and don’t have time for branded wellness theater.
The site is run from Regina, Saskatchewan by Jack Lanford. There is no editorial team, no syndicated content, no AI ghost-writing pretending to be expert teachers. Every article is written and edited by Jack with help from a documented research process and named sources.
Who’s behind it
Jack Lanford — writer, editor and the person responsible for everything you read here. Practicing yoga since 2014, primarily vinyasa and yin. Not a registered yoga teacher and does not pretend to be one. When a topic crosses into anatomy, injury, pregnancy or mental health, Yoga Hubs links out to qualified clinicians rather than improvise.
How we choose what to write about
- Topics readers actually search for — verified against search data, not invented “thought leadership”
- Products and brands we can buy and use, not affiliate dashboards alone
- Subjects where the existing internet writing is hype, vague, or wrong
How we make money
Yoga Hubs participates in affiliate programs — primarily Pepperjam/Ascend, with additional networks added over time. When you click a link to a product or service and buy something, we may earn a small commission. This never costs you anything extra and never changes what we recommend. See the full affiliate disclosure.
What we won’t do
- Run sponsored content disguised as editorial
- Recommend a product solely because the commission is high
- Use stock cliché photos of someone meditating on a cliff at sunset (we use editorial photography sourced from Unsplash, credited where required)
- Sell your data or run third-party advertising that requires invasive tracking
